Tile Roof/Pressure Damage

These are a few pics from one of two jobs we did this morning. I just wanted to share what using pressure to clean a roof can do. In this case, it was barrel tile but it's just as damaging (if not more so) on shingles.

The home owner said that someone who lives in the neighborhood had stopped by and offered to do a 'free demo' and this is what the result was.

I informed the gentleman this morning that he would probably still see somewhat of a contrast between what we had cleaned and the area that the pressure washer had removed the surface from.

Wonder if he had insurance? :Smiley-2002:

yea....you can still see a little bit of contrast but not bad Don.

Quick question...barrel roof tiles are alot more "sturdy" or stronger than shingles. How by applying pressure to the tiles is it more damaging?

Now, I am the first to admit that I don't know roofs...I've done them the primitive way years ago but quickly learned that it wasn't worth it for me to add 120 bucks as a upcharge and agree to clean the roof...tile...by...tile.
