Red Brick whitewashed

Alright I just went and looked at a job for my father in law, he is a general contractor, his customer is wanting their whitewashed house lightened up. It looks like whoever had the house before really liked the strong white coloring, well this homeowner wants more of the red brick to shine through. Any ideas on washing off some of the whitewash. I have 4gpm, 4000psi, and hot water. Thanks

If they are wanting a "true" white wash they will probably have to strip the old paint, then white wash it... I am not really sure if you can take layers of paint off and keep it uniform enough to look good... maybe on of the paint guys can chime in on this on...

Alright here is a photo of the house. This side of the home has been done before by a different contractor but she wants more of it washed off. On the other sides of the home it is REALLY white and she wants them washed off quite a bit as well. Let me know what you guys think.
