Today I cleaned this roof using Roof Snot from Russ at Southside Equipment in KY. I have never used anything that stuck to the roof as good as this. Loved the SNOT.

Thanks Brian. Did a Roof Yesterday with it that had a lot of steep Hip Roofs to it and stuck very well thus limiting my run off.

Good stuff Doug. That snot can be used in much smaller quantities than many people think. we have used as little as 1/2 cup in 50 gallons of mix with good cling.

I used the Roof Snot on a cob web removal job today. Worked great.

Those bugs looked zapped Doug! I would think in siding solutions you are using a very small amount of product?

I did a gas staion canopy ceiling for Shell, it was a bit more labor then i expected. Would the roof snot cut through grease?

Not really Chazz, I would try Simple Green Crystal for that. Don't mix it with any Chlorine it will damage it's effectiveness for degreasing. You can also use simple green concentrate, but the Crystal is stronger. Apply at a 4-1 solution and let sit for about 10 minutes. Keep it wet. Generally the product will not etch if it dries, but needs to stay wet in order to dwell and work.

That's putting it mildly Ron. It is THE best deal going right now, for a chlorine stable surfactant with STICK!
Russ is dam near giving it away, for what it costs him, and we all KNOW Russ can be trusted not to Cut our Chit, and answers the freaking phone.

I used Russ's Roof Snot and AC's Green Wash in two seprate tank mix for a tile roof job last week. In my opinion and comparison between the two.. Russ's Roof Snot wins HANDS DOWN!!

Bill Booz

Some people add snot to that geen wash. The snot is a far superior surfactant.

Haha.. I'm no chemist, but I was wondering if you could mix the two without weaking the mix.

I use roof snot and fresh wash mixed. It works good and helps cover the sh smell. 1/2 oz of each per gal of solution.

Yeah, Snot won't affect Green Wash and Green Wash won't affect Snot. In fact, they complement each other. Scent, activation, and stick.

Hey Bill
Did you ever figure out what you wanted to do as far as the roof harnesses and all...or does any one have any good advice on that? I liked the deal that goes in the vent pipe but I just dont kow if I trust it.

Gearold,

Here is the kit we have put together for roof cleaning applications. http://www.jracenstein.com/kit/12-650/safety-kit-for-softwash-roof-cleaning/

We will also have a certified ropes instructor at Softwashapolooza (http://softwashsystems.com/page_softwashapolooza.htm) 2013 training people how to use the kit and be safe on roofs.

Another vouch for roof snot here. It allows me to clean quicker and use less SH since it clings to surface longer.

I will be purchasing a booster skid with the Pro Portioner system from the Power Wash Store in 6 days (CAN'T WAIT...LOL !! ) and I want to know if roof snot has to be diluted before running thru the Pro portioner on the skid unit?? Or do I just run it full strength

Thanks Ron.....I was wondering if Roof Snot would be thick and not want to suck up into the Pro Portioner on the booster skid unit the way it hangs to roofs !
Do you also use the Pro Portioner ?? ... GREAT PRODUCT !!

Anybody tried the Snotmenade for house washes? I do like the idea of a built in cover scent.

I appreciate your knowledge, Doug. We just got some Roof Snot in we were looking to try. We use a proportioner and our 7 gallon detergent tank has Blue VooDoo and Agent Green. How much Snot should I add to our detergent mix when using the proportioner?

What is blue voodoo? sounds lie you are using a couple surfactants so no more than a few ounces of snot would be needed. We use Agent Green when we need a little more bump in our mix, but usually just use roof snot only.
