Copper Cleaning

I have never been asked to clean copper...I would research copper gutter or roof,( or whatever surface it is your cleaning,) manufactures and contact them and ask them.

I just ran across this same situation this weekend. The customer showed me a pic of his mailbox from years ago. It was all sparkly and new looking and I assume it is made out of copper. It is terrible looking now. I couldn't even tell it was metal it is so discolored. I suggested never-dull and I really haven't had a chance to research products to clean it. When I do I will let you know.

Acids can clean and brighten copper. It doesn't last long. There are coatings you can apply after cleaning but it's really hard to do. Most coating I've seen have failed in less than a year.
