Greasy Stained Wood Deck

I'm new to here and contract washing so feedback is valued. I've been contacted in my local area to a restaurant that has a stained wood loading dock with a ramp walkway and stairs. All of which is heavily covered in grease. My question is how would you best clean this? I know you don't want to use heat on wood but what about to move this grease? I considered a butyl degreaser but concerned if it would damage the wood or tear the stain off the wood. I do know i'll have to do test spots for effectiveness. Any recommendations are appreciated.
