engine RPM increase in bypass

anyone running a v-twin, 22hp predator 670cc?

when my pump diverts to bypass, I get close to 1000 RPM jump on the predator engine

if anyone has a predator, I would greatly appreciate a picture of the throttle linkage and governor springs

the only thing that I haven't torn into is readjusting the govenor

I have replaced the unloader, cleaned inlet filter, cleaned carburetor, cleaned air filter, checked and changed pump oil

the unit maintains consistent PSI and RPM under load. the problem is when there is no load

would really appreciate some help on getting this sorted out

thanks 20180821_130111.jpg

anyone following this thread?

I overlooked checking the fuel filter!

replaced the OEM plastic one with a new glass one that has replaceable filters and my problem went away 20180912_231054.jpg20180912_231021.jpg
