Last week I washed a composite deck with painted PTP rails and bead board ceiling. The house was sided with cedar shakes. I knew my house wash mix could damage the finish on the shakes so I was very careful to pre wet the shakes and not get my cleaning solution on them. I even hand brushed the trim sections that butted up to the shakes so I wouldn't spray them.
The rest of the house could use a washing. Most of the soffit, fascia and window trim had visible dirt and mildew. How could you possibly wash this house without damaging the siding?
