Brick Entrance Sign

Red brick, with white crap leaching out of grout. I called eacho chem, and used calcite presoak, then nmd80 as the white crap isn't powdery. When I applied the mnd80, it turned green which indicates no calcium is present. I immediately rinsed as per instructions. So if it's not efflorescence, or calcium what is it? How to remove? I don't want to call eaco chem again, as they use nmd80 as a cure all.

I'm suprised they didn't push Safe Restore, or Urban Gelrilla on you, that's what they usually suggest for everything. I'd suggest trying Heavy Duty Restoration cleaner from Prosoco, that should help.

Hogan, the white powder you had was probably effloresence, when it gets wet it dissapears until it dries, then it re-appears. It can be removed with an acid like the custom masonry cl3aner.
