Name that Engine?

How many different engine brands are there on pressure washing units (hot & cold)? It would be interesting to hear some of them.

Lets start listing them and see how many we come up with.

How many 4 cylinder diesels would you need to run a 4gpm, 1500 psi pump?

Kubota makes 2 and 3 cyl ranging from 13 HP to 99 HP. Of course diesels HP with their high torque over gasoline engines will rate differently in HP. Meaning, you can use a lower HP diesel than a gasoline engine. Also, the piston, valves etc are overbuilt to handle extreme use.

Yes, I know that they are expensive and most of the time cost prohibited, but if you can find your way to spend the extra money, chances are..... it will out last everything on your washer 7 times over and keep going, making you wish it would die so that you would have a reason to buy a new washer.

For parts, reliability, next day delivery on the west coast, longevity, HP to Torque ratio equaling power, Kubota is very hard to beat.
