What is the benefit of having the HUGE Garage fans on the day before a cleaning?

What is the benefit of having the HUGE Parking Garage fans on the day before a cleaning?

There are several answers to this question, no one will be wrong.

One answer is the CO2 limits....ESPECIALLY for the multiple boilers in use. The higher your BTU's the more CO2 you will produce.

You want to make sure that the fans are in working order for a test run 24 hrs before the day you are schedule to arrive on the job. By having them on a full day before, the garage will be " Cooler" and you will notice that the air is " Fresher". You will also notice a breeze within the garage. This will also help in the high Temp issues that one MAY have while doing the cleaning.

Hey Jim, whats the average sizes of the garages you do? Are most of yours closed garages. Most of the garages around here are as small as 35,000 sq feet up to 300,000 - 350,000 sq ft and are basically open garages. Most dont have fans, some do

yeah i was trying to think of what garages around that were closed!! I know sometimes you can put the alarm on stand-by!!

Some new garages here in the Bay Area are closed on top levels and lower levels making only the ground level open. The new thing now is build condo's and shops in the same build as the garage. It is almost as if then built a building for housing / shops and then said " where are the people going to park?" then they clear out an area and put a sign up saying " Parking".

They are many garages that are 4 levels below ground with 5 levels above. They do this for height restrictions placed by city planning Dept's as well.

All lower level garages below ground level that are enclosed must have fans for the CO levels.

These fans are not always tested for efficiency. You must test them before running your Boilers in these types of garages.
