Courious, does anyone know if the small engine manufacturers use the same mounting hole configuratuion? Will Honda fit where a Vanguard or Kohler was?

No they don't. Many manufacturers of pressure washers will make their frames with different bolt patterns so they can use the same frame with different engines.

before you up and buy another one, take the spark plugs out and then try to turn it over, if it will turn over then do so several times then replace the plugs and try to start it.

more than likely will not work but just in case the cylinders are full of fuel or water this will clear them and allow the engine to turn over

That was great tip, but I had already done that and it still will not turn over. I ordered an engine from Northern Tool. It arrived yesterday. today we found that the oil filter connection is different. I called 262.834.4370 (the # Northern gave me) and they are done working for the day. I am hoping they call early tomorow so I will know what my next step will be. I could have bought a new PW by now and made enough to pay for hte new PW.

Anyone want to buy a used Vanguard engine? Cheap! the last time it was used it started and ran fine. As is, cash only.
