I'm going to Run For President Of the UAMCC- Show Support here

The Bod seems to think Carlos would need to be cleared for membership
Maybe so. I remember taking away his posting privileges via the board and his membership status may have been suspended for a year at most and if that's the case then all they need to do is reinstate it. If it was revoked than he has to re-join but I don't remember that being the case. Either way the current BOD needs to see what happened with Carlos and go from there. Just a hunch...he had a year suspension so he should be allowed to finish his term membership which would be about 2 more years left.

Ron, these are a great group of people......but they should be contacting ME.

Yes they should. Already the protocol is not being followed? What does that say?

Guy, I will be eager to see the list you and your committee come up with for the ballot. And I would also like to see those top officer seats run with opposition so they are not automatically elected. I have served on nominating committees before. Suggestion: fill you officer slots first if possible, then your BOD at Large.

Yes Beth I would also like to see opposition in the running and am doing my best to a call of action on this.

I have talked to 3 Contractors so far and will be working the phones this weekend.

While there are concerns that it looks like 1 Man is running the show here, I can assure everyone that is not the case.

But I will say that there is 1 person showing more interest than all others combined to moving forward and having a legal and fair election.

Again if there are others that are interested in being on the ballot please contact me directly!

I want to make sure that we are abiding by the rules here so your advice and comments are very welcomed.

Hey are any of these contractors, members yet? Are they going to join BEFORE elections? Or are they just waiting to see if you are elected President and then hope there's open BOD positions and you as President just appoint them. (if you win that spot)

I personally would like to see them join and get elected, I think it would look better and shows their commitment more too.

Good luck everyone. Everyone just remember this is more than just a conference call or two a week. This has to be a long term commitment and it is going to be hard, frustrating and hopefully rewarding work for whoever gets on the BOD and committees too. I am sure if you are joining & running for BOD or even on a committee you don't want to attach your name to a half as*ed Org thats a mess, it's your name and its going to be considerable amount of YOUR time. Please make sure you are up for the task. If these next two years go crappy, its the end of the UAMCC. I just want nominees and all to know, this is no walk on the beach.
Good luck all, make it work!!

I'm going to Run for president of this Organization.

#1 thing I will need is a Good Vice president.

#2 I need 7 others people to assist in taking this industry to a new modern day level of thinking.

I have all of these as we speak......

If there anyone out there that would like to help?

I'm all ears!!! well if you know me I will talk a bunch.

Ask me what I'll do, ask any question that you want.

I'll answer positive ones and negative ones.

I will be controversial but mostly fair.

Time, who has time? no one really has time to handle day to day operations properly so the NEW current BOD if I win task will to find a temporary person to handle the business. ( temporary ED) Clerical duties mostly, the org doesn't have much to do at this time but I estimate it will increase as 2012 rolls in. This is why I would propose a 6 month commitment before a longer term hiring of anyone.

Once a BOD has been in place for more than two weeks and no one quits we will open a bottle of champaign and celebrate a mile stone.

Here lies the next problem that will upset many. Some here think of this org as a joke, often people took BOD spots because they thought it was a fun or might be a nice logo on my site to say I was a BOD member.

Ladies and Gents if you coming on this BOD and I'm in charge we will not be a Joke. This org will start getting recondition and respect the day I'm on the job. It may not be a Bylaw or rules but I will ask each member of the BOD to tough the stay out. Nothing good is easy and this won't be easy at times and often might be a burden of sorts. If we loose someone for reason do to health or death I will replace them in days. I will have alternates waiting that will be up to speed working on Joint committees. This org will not miss a beat on my presidency.

I can assure the stay will be worth it, in the end we will achieve our goals if we stick to a plan and keep our heads up high no matter what happens.

Mistakes will be made and not hidden, we will change what's needed and make them better.

If you think I'm not the guy to do the job join and vote me out, if you think I can do the job Join and vote me in. Do something just don't stand there and do nothing because you believe that the industry you make a living with isn't worth it!!!

Yes Jeff they have to paid Members to be nominated and/or elected, and that means G/L insurance info faxed in.

I am amazed by the pm's, emails and phone calls by Contractors interested in serving. And all said the same thing "I want to help in any way possible board or committee". There's a buzz in the air for sure.

Thanks dude.

On the one man running everything....people should know all that Ron is doing is campaigning! That what goes on in elections. I do wish more guys would speak up that want to run for a position on the BOD. I know some of the contractors on Rons lists and others BUT I have NO idea what any of them see for the future of the UAMCC.

I support Ron for many reason, but if I join back up before the election, I really would like to know what the other 10, 20 contractors THINK and ask them why they are running. I see or hear many want to run....WHERE ARE THEY??? Please if you want to run for a BOD position, please speak up. I may think you are a nice guy, but that doesnt tell me why I should vote for you.

Maybe we should start a thread for contractors to introduce themselves and a little about their thoughts on the future of the UAMCC

Good luck all.

Already the protocol is not being followed? What does that say?

Beth

I presume that was rhetorical but I think it simply says that not everyone knows the nitty gritty and understands every letter and legal speak of the bylaws. But I hope those that do will be more than willing to advise and help out the ignorant like myself in figuring it out.

Just learned how to nominate someone today, had to ask Guy though.

Your members again and have a Vote, I would love to hear your thoughts as a network running Celeste in NC & SC carolina. PWNC has been running as log as the new UAMCC with success in the local Region.

How could the PWNC be a resource to contractors on Both Teams?
When I find a spare hour to properly compose my thoughts, I will weigh in here - in the event that anyone is curious of my opinion. Then again, we are also expired members....

For the Official record I just Nominated everyone on this List. It was sent to Nomination Chair 5:00 pm AZ time Dec 7th 2011

I also nominated Doug Rucker to Run in the Vice Spot. If Doug & myself gets elected I will be happy to serve with him and anyone else to move this industry forward.

Sorry Ron, I just saw this. I have thoughts on this - but none I am willing to commit to at this time. We (PWNC) need to have our own goal setting meeting for 2012 before I even think further about sharing any resources with another organization that at present has no clear-cut plans.
