Window cleaning school

Tony Evans

Board of Director
I received some encouragement in San Diego from some UAMCC members to start a window cleaning school. I have been back and forth on the idea and finally decided I'd give it a try. Now before other window cleaners on this forum start telling me I'm not qualified or there's no need for this rest assured I've already had those discussions in my own head. ;)
My goal is to provide a one day class where we will do classroom and hands on training on squeegee techniques, hard water stain removal, wfp, tool selection, traditional pole work, etc. It will be designed for beginners who need training to confidently enter this profession. I want to do my part in helping them shorten the learning curve so many of us faced right away.

I guess I knew going in there would be a few that, for personal reasons, would give me grief or say I wasn't qualified. I am grateful for the kind support and encouragement I've received. Thanks to all of you.

Don't sweat the naysayers Tony about qualifications or other items. I have taken many college courses from people who were to be of the highest qualification for that particular profession. Many of these "qualified" professors' courses were worthless. A person can know everything there is to know about a topic (aka be highly qualified), but if he/she can't instill this knowledge into others, then their qualifications are worthless to the student.

My advice is offer a rigorous/top notch window cleaning coarse with high standards, fine tune your teaching abilities, and everything will work out great. Before you know it, after helping other window cleaners become successful, word will spread about how qualified you truly are.

Do it and do it well Tony.
