Inside or outside? Weird how it stays away from the white strips and border like it was taped of and it's overspray.

was this before or after you washed? I had a client once who had some leaky windows and some of them were so bad that they were stained white.
she asked if I could get it out... I told her I could try but probably not.
She ended up replacing them.

Guys this is common on lower end windows. It's a low e reaction. Low E is a metallic spatter coating applied for energy efficiency. The problem is that it doesn't work and play well with others. If there is any debris or oils (from finger or hand contact) on the surface it's applied to it reacts. This reaction can be days or even years after the unit leaves the factory. I've only ever seen it on units with tempered glass as many manufacturers don't clean the glass properly before tempering and that leaves contaminants for the coating to react to on the surface.
It should not be confused with what is termed a blown seal as that is a moisture condition that causes corrosion inside the unit that is milky white in color.

Thanks Tony....the customer is contacting the company that installed the windows to see of they can find out about warranty issues. Thanks for your advice...
