Light roof job

Hey all. Stupid question but I simply have a black asphalt roof with "normal" algae coverage. Not too light but not too heavy either. What's the consensus of saturating the roof with SH and letting nature rinse it off. Thx!

Well, I wasn't comfortable doing it that way so what I did was do a solid application with a good rinse. Then reapplied and left it. Results look very good. Feed back anyone?

We rinse 90% of our roofs but they are usually no gutters or real thick. We also get a lot of morning dew that burns the grass at the downspouts if gutters are on......so rinse.
